Who We Are Looking For

We are looking for a highly motivated Director – Software Engineering in Test (QA / SDET) with a track record of building and managing effective and efficient automation teams. You will be the “voice” of quality and will work closely with development teams to improve software quality by automated and continuous testing pushing the boundaries of using latest software testing technologies/solutions in an automated way. This position demands a high level of leadership, mentoring other engineers and helping to design and architect scalable solutions. Responsibilities

  • Own and direct all aspects of Quality Engineering
  • Manage and grow a high performing team across multiple products with a focus towards automation
  • Own and manage the effort to continuously improve quality by using proven automation processes and metrics
  • Work with business and the engineering teams to understand product requirements (both business and technical) and create test plans and test cases
  • Maintain/improve existing automation test frameworks and test suites
  • Maintain test infrastructure to ensure validity and reliability of test execution and results
  • Develop a culture of quality innovation and excellence
  • Define and report metrics on product quality
  • Promote programs, policies, processes and procedures to ensure highest quality of products
  • Build a test engineering framework which evaluates and communicates all aspects of production readiness and software/product quality
  • Develop, standardize, and continually improve a comprehensive automation testing strategy
  • Provide leadership to create a culture focused on mentorship, coaching, and career progression


Qualifications

  • 10+ years QA/SDET experience and at least 5 years of experience in web development
  • 5+ years management experience
  • Strong communication skills – able to communicate team and project goals in a clear, concise, and strategic manner
  • Strong ability to balance multiple responsibilities including leading/mentoring a team, while proactively troubleshooting and managing project timelines
  • Top notch problem-solving skills – able to work through complex problems
  • Ability to communicate technical issues in a manner easily understood by all stakeholders
  • Experience with a modern front-end framework (Ember, Angular, React, Vue, etc.)
  • Experience writing REST / JSON APIs
  • Experience writing software tests
  • Motivation to work hard and always be learning


Preferred

  • Experience with Selenium and Webdriver IO
  • Experience with Node.JS and modern ES6 or TypeScript
  • Experience with Ember.JS
  • Experience working on SaaS web applications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in CS, MIS, or other technical field (or equivalent experience)
