Registered Veterinary Technician OR Veterinary Assistant with Experience
We are looking for an exceptional person to add to our GBVH family. The position will start as part time with the possibiity of becoming full time. We are looking for someone who has the ability to work unsupervised. Is motivated and a proactive thinker. The job can be fast paced and you need to be a proactive thinker. Think ahead. Need little supervision and always busy. Friendly and easy going, must be able to work with the public as well as with the animals.
- Animal experience in a clinic setting is required.
- Pay dependent on skills and experience.
- Health and dental coverage available for full time employees
- Must be flexible. We are open 7-6 weekdays and 7-3 Saturdays. (Including boarding help on Sundays & holidays)
- Duties include all aspects of caring for boarding & hospitalized patients, administering medications, accurately documenting medical records, assisting veterinarians with patient examinations & procedures & surgeries.
- Ideal applicant will be a reliable, hardworking, quick-learning, organized, and self-motivated team player who is able to follow directions, and work in a very stressful, fast-paced environment
- Must be able to maintain a smile on their face at all times under all situations.
- Job duties require the ability to lift up to 40 to 50 pounds, and handle all aspects of physical labor (cleaning, mopping, walking large dogs, etc)
Must have a general proficiency at math, and computer literate
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $9.25 – $13.00 per hour
