Our company manufactures Xdesk (xdesk.com), the award-winning line of power adjustable desks and workstations. All products are microprocessor controlled and electrically actuated. We are an Austin-based manufacturing company seeking to add a Supply Chain Manager.
This is one of the most important roles in the organization – the person responsible for maintaining the organization’s materials and inputs it needs to operate. You will focus on that all materials and goods are handled, stored and distributed safely, cost-effectively, and on-time.

Key Position Roles:
- Manages and controls: Inventory, Purchasing, Logistics,
- Owns critically important KPI’s of In Stock Rate, Backorder Rate and Cost per Unit
- The SCM will be at home in the warehouse, spending 50-75% of your in the warehouse
- Drive supplier selection activities to evaluate capabilities related to quality, cost, timeliness, and overall service
- Coordinate and drive supplier improvement programs to maximize value and ensure conformance to our specifications related to quality, cost, and delivery requirements.
- Responsible for requesting purchase orders and managing order confirmations (reviewing differences of time and cost), delivery control and related activities.
- Develop and implement materials ordering procedures and activities to optimize resources and achieve volume, timeliness, reliability, and safety standards.
- Supervises and trains 1-2 associates for growth and development by ensuring associates are qualified, trained, and meet standards.
- Responsible for overseeing inventory control processes, materials requirements planning, and cycle count programs and reporting on regular basis.
- Responsible for trending, tracking, and reporting issues to management timely.
- Forecast supply vulnerabilities, propose and execute approved plans to ensure continuity of supply.
- Other duties as required.
Basic Requirements:
- 5 yrs + experience in a professional supply chain position, preferably in a manufacturing setting
- Very strong organizational skills
- Prior experience in leading supplier negotiations, materials management, and purchasing.
Highly Preferred Requirements:
- Prior supervisory skills
- Basic understanding of CAD drawings
- Experience with ISO 9001:2015 or equivalent preferred.
- Computer Literacy Leadership Skills
- Strong MRP/ERP
- Basic understanding of CAD drawings
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to work in warehouse areas, subject to the warehouse elements
- Must be able to stand, sit, bend, pull, twist, push, and pull for sustained periods of time
- Able to operate a computer and other office machinery using finger dexterity for typing and writing
- Must be able to communicate, converse with, and exchange information by means of the spoken word
- Able to perform physical effort to lift or move materials up to 50 pounds
- Visual acuity to view a computer screen for hours

Pay: $50,000.00 – $80,000.00 per year
