The traveler position will work out of a main regional office location and travel to different project locations as required.
- Must be able to leave for extended projects within a 2-week notice.
- Commit to the traveler timeline, can range from several weeks up to twelve (12) months
- Scheduled trips home with advance notice for traveler assignments over one (1) month in duration.
- Schedule can be 5 to 7 days a week, 50-70+ hours.
- Travel currently within the United States and Mexico.
- Work in a high demanding environment.
- Traveler compensation (per diem, travel pay, etc.) will be set by the individual regional office.
- Will be working with MEI travelers from across multiple regional offices.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Valid Driver’s License
- A minimum of one (1) year of Rigging experience or comparable experience preferably within the construction service industry.
- Must be able to obtain a valid passport within four (4) months from hire date.
- Requires ability to travel to job site locations in transportation method (air, drive) as directed by project manager.
- Ability to use hand tools i.e. a tape measure
Preferred Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
- Ability to weld, repair and fabricate steel, stainless steel or aluminum
- Read and interpret prints and schematics
- Set up and use a transit
- Introduction to advanced Millwright skills
- Proficient in Millwrighting skills
Professional Skills:
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to speak with Customers, Safety Pros, and Officials regarding the complex tasks being preformed
Physical Requirements & working Conditions:
Performing General Physical Activities – Performing physical activities that require considerable use of your arms and legs and moving your whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling of materials up to 50 pounds.
