As an important member of a team, the Veterinary Food Inspection Specialist, under the direction of a Veterinary Corps Officer, inspects food designed for human consumption, while also supervising inspection and veterinary service activities.
Job Duties
- Evaluate packaging, packing, and marking requirements
- Identify unsanitary conditions in food storage facilities and commissary stores
- Operate and maintain inspection equipment
- Perform duties in accordance with approved standards of conduct and report suspected fraud

Job training for Veterinary Food Inspection Specialist consists of 10 weeks of Basic Training, where you’ll learn basic Soldiering skills, and eight weeks of Advanced Individual Training. Training consists of both classroom and field work.
