SHIFT: Mon thorugh Fri 8:45 am- 12:15pm

Job Summary Optima Behavioral Consulting is currently seeking Part Time and Full Time, Male and Female, Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) or Behavior Technician. An RBT/BT is a paraprofessional who practices Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) therapy under close, ongoing supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). An RBT/BT implements and tracks the progress of the intervention and/or treatment plans developed by the BCBA. RBTs/BTs work in the client’s home, community, and/or school settings. The RBT/BT will work closely with the clients to achieve the goals set forth in the individual plans.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Provide applied behavior analysis (ABA) to outpatient pediatric clients in home, school, clinic or community settings
  • Prepare session notes/records pertaining to patient data collection after each session
  • Input schedule in the system at least two weeks ahead of time. Process own timesheets daily.
  • Excellent communication and time-management skills. Detail orientated.
  • Meet regularly with supervising BCBA and participate in team meetings

Qualifications and Skills

  • Required: High School diploma/GED
  • Some college semester hours in a related field
  • Pediatric ABA training or experience
  • Experience working with Autistic or Developmentally Disabled population
  • Obtain and maintain current CPR/First Aid certification and re-certification every two years
  • Obtain and maintain AZ DPS Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card
  • Pass pre-employment background check
  • Willingness to complete 40 hour RBT training program and pass RBT Competency Assessment
  • Must have reliable transportation and proof of current auto insurance

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift, push, and pull a minimum of 35 pounds
  • Travel to multiple locations including office, homes, school, and other sites as necessary
  • Ability to transition quickly from one position to the next
  • Ability to sit, stand, squat, kneel, twist, bend, and reach
