Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) or Behavior Technician
SHIFT: Mon thorugh Fri 8:45 am- 12:15pm
Job Summary Optima Behavioral Consulting is currently seeking Part Time and Full Time, Male and Female, Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) or Behavior Technician. An RBT/BT is a paraprofessional who practices Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) therapy under close, ongoing supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). An RBT/BT implements and tracks the progress of the intervention and/or treatment plans developed by the BCBA. RBTs/BTs work in the client’s home, community, and/or school settings. The RBT/BT will work closely with the clients to achieve the goals set forth in the individual plans.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Provide applied behavior analysis (ABA) to outpatient pediatric clients in home, school, clinic or community settings
- Prepare session notes/records pertaining to patient data collection after each session
- Input schedule in the system at least two weeks ahead of time. Process own timesheets daily.
- Excellent communication and time-management skills. Detail orientated.
- Meet regularly with supervising BCBA and participate in team meetings
Qualifications and Skills
- Required: High School diploma/GED
- Some college semester hours in a related field
- Pediatric ABA training or experience
- Experience working with Autistic or Developmentally Disabled population
- Obtain and maintain current CPR/First Aid certification and re-certification every two years
- Obtain and maintain AZ DPS Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card
- Pass pre-employment background check
- Willingness to complete 40 hour RBT training program and pass RBT Competency Assessment
- Must have reliable transportation and proof of current auto insurance
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift, push, and pull a minimum of 35 pounds
- Travel to multiple locations including office, homes, school, and other sites as necessary
- Ability to transition quickly from one position to the next
- Ability to sit, stand, squat, kneel, twist, bend, and reach
