VP, Financial Analysis- Healthcare

This role is responsible for oversight of every step of the revenue cycle process, it involves bringing innovative vision, strategic planning, sound judgment, Technical Business, and Healthcare skills to the larger organization. 

You will be responsible for the review, performance, and operations of Accounts Receivable, creating and executing a strategic plan for the department, and reporting back to the Board of Trustees. With company vision in mind, along with your own expertise in the field, you will focus on maximizing cash collection efforts, reducing bad debt, and improving net to revenue to ensure organization goals are met.

  • Provide executive oversight to Admitting, Patient Financial Services, HIM, Revenue Management, and Analytics/Process Improvement.
  • Be responsible for billing services, reimbursement/Insurance follow-up/collections services, customer service (self-pay collections), cash management, denials management, and underpayments.
  • Set and attain all Key Performance Indicator goals that are meet or exceed industry standards.
  • Seek out procedures, tools, and/or workflows to improve Revenue Cycle operations based on the routine analysis.
  • Prepare monthly reports to senior management documenting the failures and successes of each key performance indicator as required.
  • Be responsible for the success of the following key indicators recognized with revenue cycle including unbilled receivables, in house AR, claims to hold for coding, number of days discharged to billed, electronic claims validation percentage, failed claims percentage, cash collections as a percent of net patient revenue, number of accounts in AR, number of re-bills, percent of re-bills, net AR days, AR over 90, 120 and 180 days.

Experience and Education Minimum Requirements:

    Bachelor’s Degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration or related field required.

    10 years of progressive management experience in the business office setting required.

    10 years of healthcare management experience, specifically related to patient-level reimbursement, payer contracting, and government compliance preferred.

    Experience with EPIC Operations preferred

    HFMA – Healthcare Financial Management Association Certification 

Bachelor’s Degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration or related field

10 years of progressive management experience in the business office setting
