IT Systems Administrator – ProCare Automotive & Collision – Austin, TX

Procare Automotive, a growing Texas-based collision repair company, is seeking a proactive IT Systems Administrator to assist in supporting a wide range of IT Infrastructure systems and services. The IT Systems Administrator will ensure system hardware, operating systems, software systems and related procedures adhere to organizational standards.

This position is responsible for effective provisioning, installation/configuration, operation and maintenance of systems hardware, software, and related infrastructure. They participate in technical research and development to enable continuing innovation within the infrastructure.

Specific Job Responsibilities:

  • Maintains efficient and secure network operation by identifying network requirements, installing upgrades, monitoring network performance to identify issues needing repair and supporting internal team members.
  • Installs new and rebuilds existing servers and configures hardware, peripherals, services, settings, directories, storage, backups,etc. in accordance with standards and project/operational requirements.
  • Develops new system and application implementation plans, custom scripts, and testing procedures to ensure operational reliability.
  • Trains staff on how to use new software and hardware developed and/or acquired.
  • Establishes guidelines and methods for the installation and management of the host computer operating systems, disk arrays, networking devices and other components.
  • Develops procedures to maintain security and protect systems from unauthorized use, acts of nature and user abuse, programs and documentation for backup and restoration of host operating systems and host-based applications.
  • Manages the data center and computer host systems including hardware, software, and equipment.
  • Manages the telecommunication systems and vendors.
  • Stays current with technological developments in systems administration technology and recommends ways to take advantage of new technology.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

  • 3 years of experience in a system administration role.
  • Proficient in Windows Server administration as well as Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, and Disaster Recovery.
  • Working knowledge of routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless hardware/software.
  • Knowledge of Storage Area Networks and various disk array technologies.
  • Experience with network monitoring software
  • Tactful and professional attitude.
  • Strong attention to detail

The IT Systems Administrator reports directly to the IT Director.

Annual Salary: $75K+ Depending on experience.
