Maintenance Technician – 2nd Shift – Terex Corporation – Watertown, SD

Overview:

Terex Utilities is a truck equipment final stage manufacturer of digger derricks, aerial devices and associated equipment for the utility industry, municipals, telecommunications, tree and electrical contractor markets.

The position will be installing, maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting industrial building and production related equipment as needed in a fast paced, safe, industrial maintenance team environment.


Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical and mechanical issues on all equipment.

  • Perform emergency repairs promptly and follow up with root cause analysis.

  • Ensure compliance with all EPA, state, and local refrigerant regulations.

  • Use schematics and technical materials as needed.
  • Create and modify PM’s and work orders using computerized maintenance software
  • Work overtime and respond to emergencies outside of normal shift as required.

  • Support maintenance team with any other assigned duties.


Basic Qualifications:


  • High School Diploma or GED

  • 1+ years of maintenance experience


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associates Degree or Technical / Trade school certificate

  • Demonstrated knowledge of mechanical, electrical (480V 3-phase), low voltage control systems, pneumatic devices and systems preferred.

  • Experience programming VFD’s and PLC’s preferred.

  • Knowledge of OSHA’s requirements for working in an industrial setting.

  • Committed to working safely and the safety of other team members

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.

  • Excellent communication skills.
