Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Dispatching a small team of drivers (8 – 10)
- Relaying critical information between drivers and our vendors / terminal managers
- Being aware of freight that is in transit
- Assist and report issues that drivers face when they’re on the road (i.e. flat tire)
- Ensure facility Key Performance Indicator (KPI) goals are met and/or exceeded
- Maintain a safe work environment compliant with state and federal DOT/OSHA standards
- Ensure CT’s operational model compliance
- Provide / support a culture of excellence in quality of product to internal and external customers
- Ability to work 9:00am – 7:00pm (Monday-Friday)
The ideal candidate will have:
- Experience in a transportation, cross docking, or shipping and receiving environment
- Strong leadership qualities
- Desire to surround customer with excellence in service
- High aptitude for technology
- The ability to multi-task while being detail oriented
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- An associates or Bachelor’s Degree, preferred but not required
