We’re looking for a Full Time Medical Assistant for our Lauderdale Lakes location.
Days: Monday to Friday
Hours: 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM
Responsibilities and Duties:
Obtain patient’s weight, height, and vital signs
Records the chief complaint as stated by the patient
Prepares exam rooms or procedure rooms for the provider
Assists provider as needed during the patient exam or procedure
Administers medications or injections following a written physician order
At the direction of the physician and following a written physician order, obtains educational
materials for the patient
Call in prescriptions+ Erx, following a written order by the physician
Phlebotomist capabilities
EKG
Spirometry
Document in the medical record according to policy and procedure
Reviews procedure results and prepares charts for physician makes appointments necessary
following physicians order
Reviews orders generated by a physician before the patient is discharged
Works with HEDIS and Medication Adherence Report
Other duties as assigned
Previous Medical Assistant experience required
Medical Assistant Program Diploma required
EMR experience required
Phlebotomy Experience required
Working with lab vendors such as LabCorp. and Quest Diagnostics preferred
Must speak English and Spanish
