Summary
A growing construction/service company in Union City, CA is looking for immediate hire, a full-time AP & AR Accounting Clerk to join our team. The position requires ability to multi-task, and work well in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will need to be dependable, a team player, and have good attendance. The candidate needs to be professional, detail-oriented with exceptional written and oral communication skills. Two to three years of experience in Accounting or Accounts Payables required. Must be able to work during normal business hours.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
· Assist Accounting Dept. staff with coding and posting invoices received for payment in QuickBooks.
· Develop relationships with vendors through phone calls and emails as needed
· Work with Project Managers and Supervisors to verify proper approvals for payments
· Verify vendor accounts by reconciling statements and posting account transactions
· Resolve issues with vendors that may arise
· Request invoices that are missing from the system
· Review and process expense reimbursements using Concur system
· Maintain vendor and customer Certificate of Insurance (COI) documents
· Maintain vehicle spreadsheet for oil changes and repairs
· File all paid, unpaid and miscellaneous documents in file folders.
· Assist with sales and use tax quarterly reports.
· Assist with ad hoc projects as needed
Requirements
· 7+ years of relevant Accounting experience
· Experience in QuickBooks
· Experience in Concur preferred but not required
· Proficient in MS Word, Outlook, and Excel
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills
· Enjoys interacting with people
· Good organizational skills
· Demonstrate professionalism and confidence
· Ability to multi-task
· Willingness to learn
· Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus
