Southeast Lung Associates is currently seeking an experienced Certified Medical Assistant to join our practice in Savannah GA. A large, well-established pulmonary and critical care medicine practice, our 13 physicians and 10 physician extenders offer the most advanced medical care and services for patients throughout southeast and coastal Georgia. Our focus is on building strong, collaborative relationships between our physicians, our staff and our patients for improved patient care and safety.
As a Southeast Lung Associates’ Medical Assistant, you would be responsible for assuring quality care and best practice for our patients under the supervision of a practice physician. Your clinical duties would include taking and recording vital signs and medical histories in an electronic medical record, preparing patients for examination, verifying and reconciling medications and drug allergies, administering injections, drawing blood, coordinating procedures and providing patient instruction. The preferred candidate will have Medical Assistant certification and/or one year of experience as a Medical Assistant with electronic medical record experience, solid knowledge of medications, and the ability to travel to satellite clinics.
