GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION: Provides nursing care to patients in an outpatient, substance abuse setting. Does nursing assessments, patient evaluations and screenings, dispenses medications and provides the patient with health care education. Works with the program physician and other members of the treatment team to coordinate patient care
HOURS: Early morning day shift hours. Weekdays are 4:30 am- 12:30 pm and weekends are until 5 am -11 am
WEEKEND POSITION (Fri, Sat and Sun or Sat, Sun Mon)
COMPENSATION: $20/hour and $21 on the weekend
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Florida Nursing License required.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: * Ability to manage time and resources
- Strong ability to multi-task. * Ability to speak coherently and convey concepts * Computer proficiency required * Must have a friendly demeanor.
ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL SKILLS: * Ability to write accurately and legibly * Ability to sit at a desk and view a display screen for extended periods of time * Ability to bend, stoop and reach * Ability to sit in meetings for extended periods of time * Ability to move throughout program facilities both indoors and outdoors * Ability to lift and carry 10 pounds * Good hearing and vision Reasonable accommodations will be made for otherwise qualified individuals with a disability.
