Summary

General Function/Purpose:

  • To substitute for assigned employees on automatic or manual operations during times of assigned associate’s absence.


Essential Functions

Essential responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Regular attendance.
  • Performing various jobs per the description requirements of that job at the discretion of the department leader.
  • Understanding & applying BD standards & specs to ensure that there are all products are produced to BD standards
  • Entering CAPA data into the system.
  • Understanding and performing CAPA investigations, stat samples, and reject/accept procedures.
  • Efficiently performing all department jobs, as requested, including, but not limited to, machine operator, salvage operations, utility, inspection, put-up, inventory and miscellaneous. Must obtain certification on the line assigned.

Duties include coverage of operations from Packager to Set-up Operator.

Routinely may be asked to cover higher graded jobs.

  • Earning & maintaining certification in all operations within one (1) year of beginning this job.
  • Working & getting along with many different personalities in many different jobs;
  • Obeying all company policies, standards & rules, including, but not limited to:

    • safety policies & rules (including lockout & key interrupt procedures);
    • quality policies & rules;
  • Regularly shift from performing one job to performing another job;
  • Understanding & completing all required paperwork for every job performed in a timely fashion;
  • Prioritizing activities using sound business decision-making skills.
  • Assisting in the scheduling/assigning of people in the department.
  • Training new associates in the department.
  • Passing forklift training test & maintaining forklift license.
  • Driving forklift.
  • Covering other associates’ absences by coming in early, staying late and/or covering weekend overtime, as needed.
  • Certified in & performs SAP/OEE transactions.
  • Performing inspections and filing paperwork.
  • Perform utility duties, as needed.
  • Performing all miscellaneous duties as directed by leader.

Other Functions

  • Obey all safety rules, regulations and job safety analysis.
  • Maintain a clean work area at all times.
  • Miscellaneous clean up of the area
  • Other duties, as assigned


Required Knowledge, Experience, Skills & Abilities

  • Level of education/knowledge needed:


Required:

  • High school Diploma or GED (minimum requirement)
  • Ability to learn basic computer skills
  • Ability to learn & be certified on all department operations
  • Level of experience needed:


Desired:

  • Previous BD production experience with automatic assembly equipment
  • Previous inspection experience
