ADESA Indianapolis located in Plainfield is seeking to fill the Finish Technician position within our Body Shop. This position is responsible to perform limited preparation work (remove and reinstall parts) to damaged vehicles while maintaining high standards for efficiency and observing all safety requirements.
This is an hourly position paying $15/hour.
Work Schedule is Monday – Friday, 7am – 4pm with occasional OT

Responsibilities and Duties include but are not limited to the following:
- Provide limited vehicle preparation work by removing and installing parts for painting in accordance with Auction and professional standards. Operate and be proficient with all tools required for the job.
- Properly complete all work order documentation. Check off each job and return the work order to the manager when work has been completed
- Assist in overall general shop duties such as cleaning, driving, organizing vehicle parking, and staging, etc.
- Inform the Body Shop manager of all equipment breakdowns and maintenance needs immediately.
- Maintain work area and conditions to ensure a safe environment for all employees and customers.
- Make sure customers receive prompt, efficient, and courteous attention.
- Maintain a professional appearance, orderly work environment, and friendly disposition by greeting others.
- Resolve any customer complaints in a friendly and courteous manner. Advise the designated manager of all complaints or incidents.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Previous experience in a Body Shop and/or Mechanic Shop environment removing and replacing parts preferred.
- Must be qualified to operate a motor vehicle and possess a valid driver’s license.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:
The physical activity requirements of the position are Medium to Heavy Physical Work.
