Safety Coordinator – Featured Employer – Truck Accessories Group – Woodland, CA

SUMMARY
Team Member will be responsible for developing, implementing, and coordinating all environmental, health, and safety policies and procedures. Team Member will ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

 Inspect entire plant and office to ensure employees are compliant with safety guidelines and safety procedures.

 Track and maintain inspection records

 Respond to any workplace-related accidents or injuries.

 Transport employees to industrial clinic and assist with follow-up documentation.

 Conducts periodic safety audits to identify and evaluate hazardous conditions, write reports with details of all inspections and findings.

 Leads investigate industrial accidents to determine causes and recommends preventative measures to be taken to reduce accident occurrences.

 Ensure that supervisors are being complaint with work restrictions certain employees are given.

 Delivers, order, maintains and inspect safety supplies.

 Perform respirator fit testing for all new associates and

 Train associates on how to insert hearing protections and arrange for audio testing annually.

 Set up annual training sessions as required by local, state and federal regulations.

 Process and track SDS and GHS labels.

 Complete compliance events in EMIS.

 Track hazardous chemical waste.

 Participate in training outside of organization.

 Attend safety conferences as requested.

 Conduct safety orientations and trainings.

 Assist with maintaining OSHA logs.

 Reporting for OSHA, IDEM, EPA as required.

Other duties will include cross-training in various area of the office and factory as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS

To perform this job successfully, and individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Team member should have outstanding skills in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
Team Member must have valid drivers license.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
This employee is required to have a high school diploma or GED. This employee needs to have excellent computer skills, good written and good verbal communication skills.
This person must be well organized. The position also requires the sign off of the Ethics
Policy as well as the HIPPA policy.
This Team Member will train in EMIS.
This Team Member will train in RCRA.
This Team Member will train in Spray Operations.
This Team Member will be required to complete a minimum of a 30 hour OSHA certification.

LANGUAGE SKILLS
This employee needs the ability to read and verbally communicate in English. Ability to communicate in Spanish or take Spanish classes is an option.
