We are an upscale, independent and locally owned private optometry practice looking for the right person to join our small (and awesome) team located in The Villages at Brunswick Forest. We are a fun, laid-back office that is growing and looking for a long-term team member.

We find education to the patient of utmost importance so they can better understand their visual system. The ideal employee would be able to communicate well with patients in a pleasant disposition, be excited and willing to learn, be punctual, and be kind. We are a small practice that all work very closely with each other so being willing to do whatever is necessary for the good of the practice is a must!
Full time position (40 hours/week)
Pay based on experience and qualifications.
Monday thru Friday (no weekends)
Your duties would include:
– Pre-testing and patient education including auto-refraction, iCare tonometry, Optomap Daytona retinal imaging, Zeiss Matrix visual field testing, Zeiss OCT imaging, visual acuity testing, color testing, etc…
– Scribing in exam lane with doctor into EMR system
– Conducting a thorough case history including chief complaint, HPI, past medical/ocular history, past family medical/ocular history in an efficient manner.
– Contact lens insertion/removal training
– Maintaining trial contact lens inventory and contact lens patient orders/trials.
– Answering the phone, scheduling appointments
– Greeting patients and providing the best in customer service
– Verifying, billing, and troubleshooting medical and vision insurance
Requirements:
– Optometric experience required
– High School graduate
– Friendly and genuine personality
– Organized and detailed
– Desire to excel and grow with the practice!

All patients are required to wear face masks while in the office. Every patient’s temperature is checked upon entering. All patients receive a COVID screening questionnaire prior to arrival. All equipment and frames disinfected between patients.
