Job Description of an Adjunct Nursing Instructor

Angel Technical is seeking a part-time on-campus Nursing instructor.

The instructor is responsible for educational planning; evaluating student performance; motivating and advising students, and generating classroom reports as needed. The Nursing Instructor will prepare and deliver lectures to student nurses on topics such as pharmacology, mental health nursing, and community health care practices.

This is a part-time position with evening hours; 8:00 am – 02:00 pm Monday – Thursday.

Responsibilities and Duties

The nurse instructor will teach nursing students in the classroom, laboratory, and clinical environments utilizing an approved curriculum, textbooks, and visual aids. The instructor will be responsible for supervising students’ laboratory and clinical work. Prepare and evaluate course materials such as homework assignments, handouts, quizzes, and exams. Collaborate with colleagues to address teaching and research issues. Plan, evaluate, and revise course content, and course materials, and methods of instruction. Maintain student attendance records and grades using the grading program.

Qualifications and Skills

Candidates must have 1-year of experience in teaching, hold an RN license in the state of Florida, and have obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $25.00 – $28.00 per hour
