Tuff Shed is recruiting for an experienced and highly motivated Assistant Manager to contribute to the success of our Reno Factory Store. This position offers the opportunity to make a real impact to the Store and the Company.

DO YOU HAVE WHAT IT TAKES TO BE A SUCCESSFUL TUFF SHED ASSISTANT MANAGER?

  • We’re seeking a driven and experienced Assistant Manager who can help lead our high volume Operations and Sales team
  • Proven leadership skills will be required ensure we meet and beat the Store’s financial and operations targets
  • A real people manager, with hands-on experience recruiting, training and managing staff
  • A focus on customer service excellence and an understanding of the importance of “leading by example”
  • Experience in working in an industrial environment is required. The Assistant Manager will be responsible for scheduling sub-contractors, managing inventory and our fleet, and overall safety in the Store
  • This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated Assistant manager with hands-on knowledge of the people management and the industry

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • Experience building and managing a team and meeting challenging operational and sales targets; also preferred, experience with sub-contractors
  • Proven safety management experience, including: OSHA; fire prevention; machine and tool usage; PPE; Hazard communication; lifting techniques; fork lift; electrical safety; fall protection; and safety training documentation management
  • Inventory and fleet management experience
  • Background in and understanding of financials, including GL and/or P&L statements
  • Strong PC skills, including Word, Excel and Outlook; CRM experience highly preferred
  • Successful background networking and growing long-term business partnerships; ability to deal with multiple issues, growing trust and solving problems
  • Must possess a current valid driver’s license and an acceptable Motor Vehicle Report
