The Creative Specialist position will support Dart’s digital and print marketing communications efforts. Through collaboration and research, the Creative Specialist is responsible for creating and implementing designs following corporate brand standards for websites, print collateral, digital advertising, and social media in support of Dart’s foodservice and consumer products business divisions.
Day-to-Day Role:
- Design, implement, and test new website features and layouts, using a content management system and following corporate brand standards and website design style guidelines
- Develop effective layouts and designs for print literature, brochures, advertisements, trade show displays, etc.
- Understand, test, and design for browser differences and screen sizes
- Actively participate in team meetings and ad-hoc design critique sessions, providing helpful feedback to teammates geared toward improving design and functionality of marketing pieces and accepting feedback on your own work
- Collaborate with Photographer on photos needed for print and digital designs
- Continuously stay current on print and digital design trends
- Communicate with project stakeholders to gather project details and requirements to fully understand the project scope
- Communicate project status updates with department management via project management software
- Maintain electronic files of photos and artwork
Core Skills and Qualifications:
The ideal candidate must possess all of the following:

Requires one of the following:
- Associate’s degree in graphic art, graphic design, or related field of study, OR
- High school diploma or equivalent and two (2) years of relevant graphic/web design experience
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite
- Strong creative design skills (i.e. typography, color palettes, layouts, etc.)
- Strong verbal communication skills and ability to relate technical knowledge to non-technical users
- Strong written communication skills
- Strong analytical skills, including the ability to listen to internal customer needs and use supporting research to explain design choices
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize daily tasks
- Ability to travel up to 5% domestically
- Ability to obtain and maintain a valid driver’s license
Preferred Skills and Qualifications:
- One-year web design experience with, or for, a multi-department/multi-faceted company
- Knowledge of HTML/CSS/Javascript
- Knowledge of website wireframing and prototyping software
- Experience with video editing and/or designing motion graphics
- Experience using Google Analytics
