Boyd Industries, Inc. a market leader in the design and manufacture of specialty Orthodontic, Pediatric and Oral Surgery equipment is seeking a Service Technician at their headquarters in Clearwater, FL. The ideal candidate will have a mechanical aptitude in addition to outstanding customer service skills. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
*Assists the customer from the initial call to the end solution in a professional, respectful, and courteous manner.
*Experience with CRM.
*Track all Service Calls; accurate data entry into CRM, opening & closing orders and cases.
*Process RGA daily as directed by the Company RGA policy and procedures.
*Troubleshoots and resolves technical issues with Company dental equipment through telephone and Internet support.
*Inspects and tests malfunctioning medical or related equipment, following manufacturers’ and Company’s specifications and using test and analysis instruments.
*Disassembles malfunctioning equipment and remove, repair, or replace defective parts, such as motors, clutches, or transformers.
*Tests or calibrates components or equipment, utilizing manuals and troubleshooting techniques.
*Studies and reads technical manuals; attends training sessions to maintain current knowledge.
*Follows technical processes to create efficiencies and maximize productivity.
*Researches catalogs or repair part lists to locate sources for repair parts, requisitioning parts and recording their receipt.
*Plans and carries out work assignments, using blueprints, schematic drawings, technical manuals, wiring diagrams, or liquid or air flow sheets, following prescribed regulations, directives, or other instructions as required.
*Diagnoses cause of electrical or mechanical malfunction or failure of operational equipment; performs preventative and corrective maintenance.
*Plans, directs, and records periodic electrical testing, and escalate recommends or modification to QM or replacement of equipment which fails to meet acceptable operating standards.
*Contribute expertise to develop medical maintenance standard operating procedures.
*Other responsibilities and accountabilities as assigned by the Service Dept Lead.
