FRONT DESK OFFICE MANAGER/RECEPTIONIST NEEDED FOR SMALL CPA OFFICE

THIS IS CURRENTLY A PART TIME POSITION AND HAS BEEN NEWLY DEVELOPED BY GROWTH

ONE-TWO YEARS OF RECEPTIONIST, SMALL OFFICE MANAGEMENT, MULTI-TASKING AND FAST PACED OFFICE EXPERIENCE NEEDED. WE WILL ALSO TRAIN.

Starting pay is $15-$17/hour depending on experience.

Looking for an enthusiastic, optimistic, high energy individual to currently work in a small fast paced CPA office to join our team . This position has been developed due to high growth. Hours needed are currently 20-25 and could increase during the regular income tax season (Jan-April) and extension season (Aug-Oct). Staff consists of only the owner (CPA) two-three additional tax preparers/accountants, admin support.

This position would be IDEAL for someone interested in customer service, small office management, the accounting/tax field and willing to commit to a long term position (1+ years). This position is the foundation for keeping the fast paced tax season organized and a success for our office.

This business is in growth mode and the position likely will be expanded and have the possibility of additional responsibility in the future.

Duties include:

Answering phones, scheduling appointments, handling daily client email and phone requests, maintaining client databases, assisting the tax preparers as needed, ordering supplies, preparing outgoing mail, paying bills, assembling outgoing tax returns, hr employee assistance with timecards, employee requests, employee scheduling, making copies, light office cleanup, short errands, etc.

This position will have a lot of client interface so the ideal candidate should be very comfortable with that aspect and should be able to present themselves and communicate in a businesslike manner.

Ideal background and skills

Great customer service and multi-tasking skills required, 1 year experience

Small Office management, 1 year experience

Detail oriented and Strong Accuracy is required
Ability to work in a fast paced environment is essential

Ability to follow detailed instructions

Good data entry skills required
Basic knowledge of general accounting and income taxes (one accounting class or some accounting/tax experience preferred)
Word/Excel/ Google skills preferred
Businesslike mannerism is required (business casual dress, ability to correspond and interact in a business manner)
Own vehicle is required for errands
Self starter
Outside the box thinker
Ability to take initiative
Ability to work under little supervision and under pressure
Able to commit to at least a one year position
