Clinical Director – Riversouth Rehabilitation Center – Monroe, LA

POSITION PURPOSE/SUMMARY:

The Clinical Director oversees all the organization’s clinical programs, policies, and practices. The Clinical Director is responsible for the overall functioning and maintenance of the clinical programs and their entirety.

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

A licensed psychiatrist, licensed psychologist, licensed clinical social worker (LCSW), licensed professional counselor (LPC), or licensed marriage and family therapist (LMFT) with a minimum of two years qualifying experience in treating psychiatric disorders and who maintains a current unrestricted license to practice in the state of Louisiana

FUNCTIONS:

· Ensures that the necessary services are provided to meet the needs of the patients

· Provides oversight for the organization policy/procedure according to the current standards of best practice

· Provides oversight for the organization’s treatment planning according to the current standards of best practice.

· Provides oversight for the organizations’ staff regarding the clinical needs of the clients according to the current standards of best practice.

· Directs the course of clinical treatment for all clients

· Receives reports of all accidents/incidents occurring on the premises and identifies hazards to the Administrator

· Participates in the development and implementation of policies and procedures for the delivery of services

· Periodically reviews delivery of services to ensure care meets the current standards of practice

· Participates in the development of new programs and modifications.

· Provides or designates consultive and on-call coverage to ensure the health and safety of clients

· Collaborates with the patient’s primary care physician and psychiatrist as needed for continuity of the patient’s care.

· Shall be on duty or on call as needed and/or manage the on-call schedule.

· Provides supervision utilizing evidence-based techniques related to the practice of behavioral health counseling

· Serve as a resource person for other professionals counseling or providing direct services to clients with behavioral health disorders

· Attends and participates in treatment planning activities and discharge planning

· Functions as client advocate in treatment decisions

· Participate in trainings which are required by the agency for licensure.

· Documents services provided in accordance with clinical standards.

· Prepare necessary reports as needed by management.

· Make presentations on the performance of clinical programs at various intervals.

· Participate in off-site trainings and meetings provided that is related to the function of clinical director

· Facilitate a regular scheduled staffing with all licensed professionals.

· Oversee and guide the process of patient intake, assessment, and authorization processing.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $31.00 – $36.00 per hour
