Vice President, Commercial Banking Content Strategist – JPMorgan Chase Bank, N.A. – Plano, TX

The Content Strategist is a leadership role supporting the Healthcare and International businesses that sit within the Middle Market and Specialized Industry (MMBSI) and Corporate Client Banking and Specialized Industry (CCBSI) lines of business within Commercial Banking (CB). This role will develop and manage integrated content strategies that address client needs, problems and solutions across the full buyer’s journey, inclusive of value proposition messaging, thought leadership and sales enablement programs and initiatives. Our Healthcare banking teams support organizations, including hospitals, pharmaceuticals, biotech and healthcare services – from opening an account as a new startup, to expanding internationally as they scale up, to potential IPO and beyond. The International banking teams support multinational corporations in managing cross-border business in today’s complex economic and regulatory environment. The content strategist role will liaise with many different content strategists, writers and subject matter experts across our business to ensure comprehensive inputs to strategic content planning and will act as editorial director for all strategies under his/her purview.


Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage the overarching content strategies for Healthcare and International (in partnership with Senior Marketing Managers and line of business partners)

    • Understand business goals, marketing and campaign plans to create a comprehensive content strategy in support of those goals
    • Identify overarching content themes and work with the Editorial team and our line of business (LOB) partners to develop campaign and content ideas/plans that map up to those themes
    • Oversee Healthcare and International content on the CB editorial calendar, developing forward-looking editorial plans and integrating with other CB and LOB efforts under one CB-wide calendar
    • Partner with the LOB and other CB centers of excellence to plan delivery of content across an omnichannel client experience, with specific focus on digital delivery
    • Develop Healthcare- and International-specific content KPI’s that ladder up to CB-wide KPI’s and regularly measure to determine what topics, formats and channels are working or not working, proactively making recommendations and implementing changes to strategy
    • Responsible for audits of content to determine gaps, expired content, needs for content updates, etc.
    • Manage agencies and other content partners in the development of content
    • Act as the lead editor for the Healthcare and International businesses, identifying opportunities for content sharing, content usage, repurposing or partnerships from other businesses across the firm
    • Build and manage cross-functional relationships needed to link our businesses, process and technologies that contribute to strategic content planning, execution and measurement
    • Perform strategic mapping of content to audience journeys and ongoing journey gap analysis of the content inventory and its ability to support content strategy and campaign requirements
    • Contribute to search engine optimization (SEO) and search engine marketing (SEM) initiatives with an understanding of how to integrate keyword strategy into overall content planning for programs and campaigns
    • In partnership with other centers of excellence (web, email, social, events and PR), as well as business and agency partners, make recommendations for the appropriate mix of channels for content delivery

Skills Required

  • Five to 10 years of integrated marketing, content marketing, marketing communications, public relations and/or agency experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing or communications
  • Experience in business-to-business and healthcare marketing preferred
  • Prior technology experience preferred, but not required
  • High-level thinker with demonstrated strategic content planning skills and an ability to create a long-term vision
  • Experience planning, delivering and executing integrated, multi-tactic campaigns and bringing together diverse groups of stakeholders in a common goal
  • Demonstrated experience delivering omnichannel content, including experience in digital delivery (web, email, social, etc.)
  • Proactive idea-generator and problem solver – a self-starter who can quickly gauge the vision and needs and move quickly with minimal oversight
  • Detail orientation, proven organizational skills and an efficient time manager
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills, including ability to deliver presentations to senior management
  • Ability to envision ways to tell a story in a compelling manner for our target clients via multiple formats (print, video, infographic, multimedia presentations, social posts, etc.)
  • Can synthesize strategic inputs from multiple diverse sources, including product and sales teams
  • Understanding of how user experience impacts content consumption
  • Ability to tap into analytical skills to determine what’s working and what isn’t and alter course
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while working well with people all around the country in a variety of roles, job functions and departments, and with a wide range of personalities, work styles and processes
  • Demonstrated flexibility – able to shift strategies and tactics when required
  • Ability to learn fast and understand new technologies and changes to processes
