Lead Behavioral Health Technician
American Behavioral Health Systems (ABHS) is seeking a Lead Behavioral Health Technician Lead at our treatment facility in Chehalis, WA.

Job Summary: Provides shift supervision and acts as a resource for BHT, care team and other clinical staff. Ensures that the health care needs of the clients are met for each shift and/or passed on to next shift Lead for completion. Ensures building security, appropriate order and safety for all clients by delegating and monitoring those responsibilities as needed. Responds to clients’ needs and concerns.

Schedule: M-F, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Lead Duties:

• Ensures that all support staff are attending to their responsibilities as dictated by ABHS polices and WAC’s.
• Provides shift supervision and training of Care Team and Facility Monitor.
• Responsible for preparing and completing Shift Report/Log and Stat Sheet. Ensure that all staff signs the Shift Report.
• Ensure that medication changes, log-ins and controlled drug counts are accurate and medication carts are kept clean.
• Ensure that intake paperwork is completed and copied. Incident Reports are completed or passed down to next shift to complete.
• Monitors the census of clients in the building and ensure that head counts are being completed hourly.
• Monitors and ensures that specimen collection and documentation for urinalysis (UAs) is completed for DOC clients and as necessary for all other clients.
• Be knowledgeable regarding safe policy and procedures related to position – fire alarm procedures, bomb threats, doors secured, directing staff and clients to safe areas.
• Keep accurate, legible written log of events that take place during the course of your shift.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Must have a genuine concern for people and a proven history of reliability.
• Prior history in a lead or supervisory role.
• Preference for candidates with experience in social work, nursing homes, community behavioral health clinics or hospitals.
