This position would oversee Clinical Education in the West Region (North Dakota & Western Minnesota). Employs innovative educational strategies to assure state of the art nursing care that advances the practice of nursing within Essentia Health. This includes creation of dynamic orientation programs, education to meet regulatory requirements, continuing education programs, and creation of methods to assure specialty training for clinical populations. Manages plans, implements, coordinates and evaluates the clinical education program for nursing staff, and oversees the provision of facility-wide mandatory annual education for staff throughout the organization. Also works collaboratively with system colleagues on system-wide educational initiatives. Develops collaborative relationships with local nursing educational institutions in order to actively support the education of our future nurses and promotes a patient and family-centered and evidence-based approach to educational activities. The person in this role is integral to creating an environment of continuous learning that promotes the professional growth of nurses, provides methods to facilitate achievement of and measurement of key competencies, and that promotes staff engagement in the learning process. Work Experience: Minimum of five years’ experience as an RN with at least three years’ experience in healthcare education.
Bachelors Degree in Nursing is required, Master’s Level Preparation preferred.
Current Registered Nurse license with the appropriate State Board of Nursing.
Certification in an aspect of department managed preferred.
