As a Special Education Aide you will assist students in developing their educational, social, emotional, and behavioral skills Reporting directly to the Special Education Teacher and the Day Coordinator, you will have direct, active, constructive participation with students. You will have active cooperation with teachers, clinical and ancillary staff and must maintain active cooperation with co-workers, clinical staff, medical staff, ancillary staff, community members, families, and supervisors.
The ideal candidate for this has a Bachelor’s Degree in education, psychology, or related field preferred. Candidates without degrees are encouraged to apply. Experience in teaching, human services or behavior management preferred. A valid driver’s license and clean driving record is required.
Fluent English speaking and writing skills, empathy and the ability to listen, good time management skills and professional appearance and demeanor are all required for this position.
