Direct Support Professional (DSP) Job Description:

At Avancer Homes, it is our mission to support individuals with intellectual disabilities throughout Ogle and DeKalb counties while continuing to foster and develop partnerships with stakeholders in each community. Each day you will make a difference by helping people who can’t always help themselves.

We are currently hiring full time and part time Direct Support Professionals (DSP) to work with individuals who have intellectual disabilities.

Direct Support Professional (DSP) Responsibilities:

• Assist individuals with intellectual disabilities with personal care needs
• Offer daily support and active engagement through recreational, social and community activities
• Maintain a friendly, home-like environment within the residence facility

Direct Support Professional (DSP) Qualifications:

• No DSP experience required
• Background working with individuals with intellectual disabilities preferred
• Must have a compassionate and caring personality and a positive get-it-done attitude
