Service Technician

Role and Responsibilities

Full time position to support the management of PECO Service Department by becoming an expert on the company’s products, applications and customers with the goal of being able to provide quality service to carwashes. The objective of this position is to provide quality field repair of products. As the PECO Service Technician, you will be instrumental in providing quality work while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to PECO policies and procedures.

· A basic knowledge of car wash equipment

· Repair car wash equipment

· Install new car wash equipment

· Increase customer awareness of PECO equipment

· Ability to trouble shoot

· Help educate customers on the maintaining of their equipment

· Help educate customers on the pertinent items to stock to avoid car wash shut downs

· Provide expert and creative solutions to customer problems of any nature to ensure complete customer satisfaction and productivity

· Travel to customer sites with possibility of overnight travel and work within a reasonable amount of time to complete assignments as required: overtime may be necessary.

· Support service efforts by responding to customer and PECO requirements at any time, including weekends and holidays.

· Perform work with minimal to no supervision.

· Complete customer’s service and expense reports upon conclusion of jobs

· Maintain accurate daily work and expense records

· Take pride in the quality of their work and servicing customers

· Work closely with other team members to accurately service customer on time

· Maintain all company assets, including service vehicles, tools and equipment in safe operating order and within company guidelines.

· Perform inventory cycle counts and provide other area support as needed

· Continuously identify, measure, follow and improve department processes

· Housekeeping as it applies to job or work area

· Other duties as assigned

Qualifications and Education Requirements

· Ability to operate power and pneumatic tools.

· Ability to read a tape measure

· Ability to read prints for car wash equipment installation and repairs

· Main service area in Michigan but ability to travel to out-of-state sites

· Must be able to stand, sit, bend, pull and squat to perform this job effectively

· Ability to frequently lift heavy items, then lower to floor height or shelf

· Ability to follow established work schedule and procedures

· High degree of dependability essential

· Ability to learn new skills and assume new responsibilities with a “can do” attitude

· Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment

· Must pass a physical including drug & alcohol screening

· Must possess and maintain a safe driving record with valid driver’s license

· High School diploma or G.E.D. required

Preferred Skills

· Past experience in the car wash industry

· Welding knowledge
