JOB SUMMARY:
The Certified Medical Assistant provides team based patient care as directed by the Physician. They provide support to nursing, lab, clerical, and Physician staff in order to facilitate positive patient outcomes. Clinical knowledge and skills relate to newborn, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric populations.

**Participation in a Clinical Orientation and Competency Evaluation, and ability to pass a Clinical Skills Assessment and Medication Administration test within ninety (90) days of hire, and within 3 attempts.**

EDUCATION:
Required: High School Diploma or equivalent
Preferred: Diploma/Certificate in Medical Assistant Program

EXPERIENCE:
Preferred: 2 years, Healthcare – Certified Medical Assistant (CMA); Physician Office Experience

LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRY/LISTING:
Required:

• BLS (CPR) | AHA Health Care Provider BLS
• Current and active certification as a medical assistant by one of the following: American Associate of Medical Assistants (AAMA), American Medical Technologists (AMT), National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT), National Healthcareer Association (NHA), American Registry of Medical Assistants (RMA), National Healthcare Worker’s Association (NHCWA), National Association for Health Professionals (NAHP), National Registry of Medical Assistants (NRMA).
