X-Ray Tech/Medical Assistant – AFC Urgent Care – Tampa, FL

Busy Urgent Care facility seeking Basic X Ray (BMO) or X-ray Tech with medical assistant experience part time 3 days a week, 9 to 12 hour shifts. Shifts will vary. Facility is open 7 days a week and you must be available to work any of the days we are open.

Duties will include but not limited too:

Triage all patients, including taking and recording vital signs, patient history. X-Rays, draw labs and complete lab orders per physicians (including in house labs such as strep testing, flu swabs, urinalysis). Perform EKG’s, wound dressing care and injections.

Requirements:
Graduated from accredited Program with a valid license in the State of Florida as a Certified BMO/RT/MA.
Current CPR certification preferred.
One year of X-Ray experience is required, but will consider if you have less.
Strong phlebotomy skills, complete lab request per physician orders and use of in house labs. Perform EKG’s, injections and assist physician as needed with wound care/dressing changes and sutures.
Knowledge of HIPAA regulations.
BAT and Drug Screen certifications helpful, but not required.
Ability to communicate with patients in a professional and courteous manner.
Excellent computer skills needed for EMR (Docutap).
Excellent front desk skills, must be a people person.
Bilingual a plus.

Must be able to pass Background check for AHCA or have current background check on file.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $16.00 – $19.00 per hour
