Staff Development Coordinator – Wyndham Lakes Assisted Living – Jacksonville, FL

The primary role of the Staff Developer is to help new employees become comfortable with their job responsibilities and the culture of workplace. They can answer questions for new hires, give advice, help resolve problems, and provide emotional support when a worker faces the early challenges of caring for assisted living residents. This Staff Developer will orient new Caregivers, Certified Nursing Assistants, and non direct care staff.

The Staff Developer will share the direct care caseloads during the first week of the job. The Staff Developer will assign Peer mentors help new employees. The Staff Developer will serve as a mentor, buddy and support system for new employees joining the team.

The Staff Developer will coordinate training in coordination with Safety Calendar and Annual Training Calendar. They will also ensure that community staff are in compliance with regulatory requirements for staff education under the Florida Administrative Code and Florida Statutes.

This position will be responsible for conducting interviews for open direct care positions, coordinate with the Resident Care Director to identify open schedules and complete drug testing prior to the candidate completing post hiring tasks and training.

This position requires an LPN with a minimum of 2 years of working in an Assisted Living or Skilled Nursing environment as a Trainer, Staff Development or a Lead Caregiver/Mentor with verifiable experience through a reference check.

A Level 2 background check, drug screen and reference check will be conducted on candidates who are made a conditional offer. We are a DFWP and EOE.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 – $22.00 per hour
