Job Summary:
Weil Foot & Ankle Institute is one of the nation’s leading Podiatry Practices with over 20 clinics nationwide. At WFAI, we are committed to using the most advanced technology and resources possible for podiatry care and services. We are currently seeking full time clinical assistants to join or team as we continue to grow and expand our organization. Must have medical assistant certification or certified nursing assistant certification. This position may also be cross-trained to perform front desk responsibilities. Please note that travel between clinic locations is required for this role including near Kenosha, WI and Libertyville, IL a and surrounding locations and could include travel local travel between clinic locations within your assigned geographic region and Mount Prospect location as assigned; Although you may be assigned to a primary location you will be required to travel to locations within your assigned geographic region within the WFAI group as needed to support the needs of the organization. Must have reliable transportation to and from clinic locations.

JOB DESCRIPTION: Responsibilities include verifying patient information, patient care and assisting the physician as required. This position may also be cross-trained to perform front desk responsibilities.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Rooming and discharging of patients
Assisting doctors in:
- Patient care
- Patient data collection and data entry
- Taking vitals
- Knowledge and ability of taking appropriate x-rays
- Stock supplies in exam rooms
- Scheduling appointments
- Surgery, tests
- Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Certification required
- Diploma from an accredited medical assistant program
- Minimum of 2 years in a healthcare position
- Basic knowledge of computers and office equipment
- Candidate must also have reliable transportation.
- Possess good communication skills
- Strong work ethic
- Ability to work independently

High School Diploma or equivalent

Certified Medical Assistant certificate
SCHEDULE:
Schedules run from Monday through Saturday and you may be required to work a minimum of 2 Saturdays a month. Daily schedules are typically 4-12/hour shifts.
TRAVEL:
Local Travel between clinic locations within your assigned geographic region (multiple Chicagoland locations) and Mount Prospect location as assigned; Although you may be assigned to a primary location you will be required to travel to locations within your assigned geographic region within the WFAI group as needed to support the needs of the organization. Must have reliable transportation to and from clinic locations.
