UCF Lake Nona Medical Center (UCFLNMC) is located in the southern Orlando suburb of Lake Nona, which is known as Medical City. UCFLNMC is a partnership facility owned by HCA Healthcare and the University of Central Florida College of Medicine. It will be the first teaching hospital in Central Florida. Construction began in October 2018. Slated to open in early 2021, the 204,079-square-foot, 64-bed facility is expected to create more than 300 jobs when it opens early next year.

UCFLNMC will be located immediately adjacent to the UCF College of Medicine. It will be just minutes from the Orlando International Airport and will be easily accessible from major roads including Florida’s Turnpike, State Road 417 and the East-West Expressway.

POSITION SUMMARY

Performs all duties of a Radiology Technologist applying ionizing radiation for the purpose of detecting pathology, as well as oversee the general operation of the department as assigned and with a variety of technical procedures. Regulates the equipment used to expose the radiographic images and utilizes PACS. Operates equipment safely and maintains A.L.A.R.A. standards while performing all types of procedures. Provides patient care during imaging procedures. Establishes and maintains a good rapport and professional relationship with fellow employees, other departments and medical staff. Position requires call.

Qualifications

Education:
Vocational/Technical

License/Certification:
ARRT (R)
Florida State Radiology License
Registry eligible-6 months grace period
BLS or BLS Instructor

Experience:
None required
