We are currently seeking an experienced Nurse Leader for a newly created position of Traveling DON to join our Special Task Force team.
The ideal candidate will have 3 – 5 years of experience in Nursing Consulting and Long Term Care. A minimum of 5 years of experience as a DON is preferred.
The Special Task Force DON provides advice and counsel to managers and supervisors related to nursing policies and procedures, clinical processes, and quality measures as directed by the Chief Clinical Officer. Performs training and other duties as assigned. Under the direction of the Chief Clinical Officer the position of traveling Director of Nursing assists facilities throughout multiple states and divisions.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Evaluate facility compliance to clinical policy, procedure, and care.
- Visit assigned facilities for intervention, audit and training.
- Monitor readiness for State Survey and assist during surveys
- Aid in the Plan of Correction process

Job Requirements:
- Current RN license, BSN preferred
- At least 5 years experience in Long Term Care
- DON experience a must
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to travel extensively (region and overnight travel required)- Must maintain current CPR certification
