Would you like the opportunity to work with a leading team on the groundbreaking United States Space Force (USSF) Space Operations Command (SpOC) Intelligence and Cyber-defense Enterprise Services (SPICES) contract?

As a Defensive Cyberspace Operations Analyst, you will be working at Buckley AFB performing the following:

  • Perform an operator role on the government provided SIEM tool.
  • Employ cyber security processes, methods, techniques and tools and assure their consistent application.
  • Identify, contain, and respond to cyber incidents.
  • Perform incident handling procedures.
  • Assess and respond to USCYBERCOM task orders.
  • Assist in the development of local Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures (TTPs).
  • Respond to INFOCON and CPCON changes.
  • Prepare mission briefs.
  • Participate in Wing exercises.


Work Schedule: This role will align with the government’s 12 hour shift structure with day shift being 7am to 7pm and night shift being 7pm to 7am. The DCO operator will work 4, 12 hour shifts with 3 subsequent days off.

***This position is for day shift.
Basic Qualifications:

  • DOD 8570.07-M CSSP certification.
  • Experience with a SIEM Tool (LogRhythm, Splunk).
  • Experience with employment of DoD cybersecurity requirements, policies, and procedures to include assessment and authorization activities.
  • Experience with responding to cyber incidents.


Desired Skills:

  • Experience performing cybersecurity activities in support of software and system requirements, design, development, testing, and sustainment.
  • Experience with, HBSS, ACAS, SCAP Compliance Checker (SCC), DISA STIGs.
  • Experience with Secure Configuration/Hardening of DoD Information Systems.
  • Knowledge of NIST 800-53.
  • Experience with RHEL.
  • Ability to provide guidance on DoD Cyber regulations and requirements to engineering and software development staff.
