AMITA Holy Family Medical Center is offering a $10K Sign-On Bonus with 1(+) Year of experience.
Looking for an enthusiastic and compassionate Registered Nurse with a drive to improve the lives of others for one of our medical surgical unit at Holy Family Medical Center in Des Plaines. Full time nights,12 hour shifts, 7p-7:30a. Hours are scheduled with rotation into every other weekends and rotation into holidays. All of our patient rooms are private rooms, we have electronic badge system for rounding, standardized uniform color. We have ventilator patients who require suctioning. What You Will Do
As an RN with AMITA Health, you will have the opportunity to perform direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures and protocols of the organization. Will work along with a diverse interdisciplinary team to help our patients through their recovery. Through our unit you will have the opportunity to work with high acuity patients, including patients who have tracheostomy, ventilator patients, Dialysis patients, complex wound care, chest tubes, etc.
Responsibilities:
Implements and monitors patient care plans. Monitors, records and communicates patient condition as appropriate.

- Serves as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
Notes and carries out physician and nursing orders.
- Assesses and coordinates patient’s discharge planning needs with members of the team.
What You Will Need
Licenses/Certifications/Registration:
-
Required Credential(s):- BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
- Registered Nurse credentialed from the Illinois Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
Education:
-
Diploma
- Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing required
Work Experience:
- 1yr of experience preferred but not required.
- Experience with ventilators and tracheostomy patients preferred.
