CARE TECHNICIAN – Campbell County Health – Gillette, WY

Working in collaboration with several departments at CCH, The Care Technician will be responsible for providing additional help/coverage within CCH facilities by performing a variety of skills/tasks that contribute to the delivery of care.

PRIMARY JOB DUTIES

  • Participate in the COVID Testing process (Swabbing, paperwork, packaging of swabs, mailing of swabs, etc.).
  • Be flexible in floating to different department within the organization to assist with completion of assigned tasks.
  • Provide excellent customer service to all customers.
  • Must be free from governmental sanctions involving health care and/or financial practices.
  • Complies with the organizational Corporate Compliance Program including, but not limited to, the Code of Conduct, laws and regulations, and CCH policies and procedures.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS

  • Education: High school graduate or GED required. Preferred enrollment in a medical training field such as MA schooling or school of nursing.
  • Certification: N/A
  • Certifications required: Swabbing/PPE Competencies upon hire
  • Experience: Previous health care experience preferred .
  • Essential Technical/Motor Skills: Hand/eye coordination.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Good interpersonal skills needed in dealing with nursing staff, physicians, patients/residents, families and other members of the health care team.
  • Essential Physical Requirements: Ability to wear proper PPE, ability to list and/or maneuver objects weighting 40lbs or less.
  • Essential Mental Abilities:. Able to think quickly, handle various projects simultaneously with attention to accuracy, prioritization, , detail, memory, problem solving, and reasoning.
  • Essential Sensory Requirements: Sufficient vision, hearing and speech to perform duties.
  • Exposure to Hazards: OSHA CATEGORY I. TASKS THAT INVOLVE EXPOSURE TO BLOOD, BODY FLUIDS, OR TISSUES. All procedures or other job-related tasks that involve an inherent potential for mucous membrane or skin contact with blood, body fluids, or tissues, or potential for spills or splashes of them, are Category I Tasks. Use of appropriate protective measures is required for every employee engaged in Category I Tasks.
  • Hours of Work: PRN basis with variable scheduling requirements.
