Summary: This is a full-time position with benefits including health care coverage, paid time off, 401k and profit-sharing. This position reports to the Office Coordinator.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
- Prepares patient for examination by asking questions to determine purpose for visit
- Previews area of concern, captures images for patient file
- Records patient information within system
- Maintains a safe, secure environment by following office standards and procedures
- Stays informed of, and complies with, current and pertinent legal regulations
- Keeps equipment operating by following operating instructions; troubleshoots breakdowns; maintains supplies; performs preventive maintenance; calls for repairs
- Reports supplies needed to office coordinator
- Returns patient calls regarding prescription and pharmacy questions
- Informs patient of biopsy results and schedules next appointment
- Interviews patient to gather information and add to medical history
- Prepares room for the day, stock supplies, fill Cryotherapy/Liquid Nitrogen
- Opens notes, summarizes previous visit
- Sterilizes tools and Autoclave
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Required: High school diploma or equivalent; customer service skills; basic computer and data entry skills; multi-tasker; positive attitude; adaptable; excellent communication skills; self-motivated; hard-working
Preferred: Knowledge of NexTech system; experience as a medical assistant; professional training; ability to obtain broad knowledge of field quickly; problem-solver; basic dermatology knowledge
Physical Demands: significant amount of walking, standing, and assisting patients; lifting up to 25 lbs.; typing; occasional bending and stretching
Work environment: fast-paced; possible exposure to blood and bodily fluids; frequent patient interaction; assisting providers in exam room
