Reporting to the Vice President, Healthy Communities and Well-being, the Director of Food Security Initiatives provides leadership to position Centura Health as the innovative System creating solutions that lead to food security and community wellness. This leader is a member of the Enterprise Mission Group based in Centennial, Colorado and serves developing the direction and infrastructure for the creation of food security programming and systems to advance Centura Health’s commitment to every community, every neighborhood, every life – healthy and whole. Important to this role is understanding the leadership expectations of this position and the entire leadership team throughout Centura Health. The Director, Food Security Initiatives must have a personal and professional connection to the Mission of our Christian organization. This position must be a team player themselves and contribute toward a Team centered approach that lends itself to ensuring “team before self” as we lead our complex, highly matrixed organization into the differentiated leading role as THE system of choice. Finally, the individual must demonstrate personal and professional Accountability to our community, associates, physicians, and sponsors for performance that this position and its team complete.

In addition to bringing your whole self to the workplace each day, qualified candidates will need the following:

• Seven (7) years of progressive leadership experience facilitating community engagement and strategic initiatives demonstrating a solid track record of reducing and eliminating barriers to nutritious food access and in the creation ofsustainable solutions.
• Ability to work collaboratively, garner support and trust, manage conflicts and champion initiatives across broad, highlymatrixed, complex organizations and sectors.
• Strong understanding of metropolitan and rural environments, agricultural production, farmstead operations, and food systems, programs and policy development.
• 
  Bachelors Degree Required
