Merakey is currently seeking Addiction Counselor to join our Outpatient Program in our Philadelphia, PA location.

POSITION OVERVIEW

Provide individual, group and family psychotherapy to clients with substance abuse problems in Outpatient medication assisted treatment program settings. Responsible for completing paperwork as required for case record.

Bachelor’s Degree or higher in chemical dependency, psychology, social work, counseling, nursing (with a clinical specialty in the human services) or other related field. One year clinical experience (a minimum 1,820 hours) in a health or human service agency preferably in a drug and alcohol setting or other related field. If a person’s experience did not take place in a drug and alcohol setting, the individual’s written training plan shall specifically address a plan to achieve counseling competency in chemical dependency issues.
