The Patient Care Associate (PCA)/ Unit Coordinator provides basic patient care under the direction of licensed nursing staff as assigned. Performs direct and indirect diagnostic, therapeutic, administrative, service and other tasks as appropriate to facilitate safe, quality patient care while ensuring efficient, smooth functioning unit operations. Applies knowledge and understanding of principles of patient growth and development in patient and family interactions to care for patients. Provides administrative support as defined.
Required:
- One year in a healthcare setting
- High School Diploma or GED
- Certified Nursing Assistant (KY)
Screening Requirements: Drug Screen, Background Check, License and Employment reference verification.
