Education:
Required: High School Diploma or equivalent (i.e. GED)
Required: Basic EKG and/or Dysrythmia education—if not present upon hire, completes within 1 month
Experience:
Preferred: At least two (2) years of experience in a hospital or medically related environment
Required: Must be able to follow directions and to perform work according to department standards when no directions are given. Must be emotionally mature and able to function effectively under stress. Possess the ability to learn medical and pharmacological terminology
Licenses/Certificates:
Required: Basic Life Support (BLS) to be obtained within 30 days of hire
One of the following preferred:
– Unit Secretary Certification –or-
– Emergency Medical Technician – Basic –or-
– Certified Nursing Assistant –or-
– Emergency Medical Technician – Basic –or-
– Certified Nursing Assistant –or-
- Cardiac Monitor Tech Certification
