Penn Machine Company LLC, a Marmon/Berkshire Hathaway Company, is a leading manufacturer of products and services for the transit, railroad, and mining industries. We are seeking an individual for a full-time position for our Engineering Department in Johnstown. This position will assist our Manufacturing Department with, but not limited to,
- Creating, revising, and verifying drawings for new products and fixtures
- Providing technical support for plant operations and quality
- Assist with the development of and implementation of Lean concepts
- Research product information
- Developing work process documentation
- Support document management processes
Qualifications for this position include:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (mechanical, industrial, or manufacturing) or equivalent experience
- Minimum 5 years of experience in manufacturing techniques, preferably machining.
- Understanding of Lean concepts with desire to become a green belt
- Gear manufacturing and/or engineering experience, a plus
- Fluency with MS Office products is required
- Ability to learn technical and office computer software. Epicor, CMM and/or FARO experience are pluses.
