RN – 12 hr day shift – Rehabilitation Hospital of Indiana – Indianapolis, IN

Registered Nurse – full time 7a-7:30p – Benefits Eligible

IN RN license and current CPR required. Med/surg experience preferred.

This clinical practitioner has a basic knowledge of pathophysiology, the aging process, and the use of the nursing process in the rehabilitation setting. The incumbent personally administers nursing care to the patients and/or plans, directs and coordinates the nursing care of a group of mid-adolescents, adults and geriatric physical medicine rehabilitation patients from age 15 and up via the nursing process and in collaboration with other nursing resources and the health team. The incumbent also instructs patients and families in procedures and health care practices and makes referrals for continuing care after discharge.

This position requires experience gained through an approved School of Nursing with an appropriate period of orientation for the performance of nursing care. Direct patient care positions require direct patient care experience in preceding five years. Incumbent must successfully complete nursing orientation objectives. Current State of Indiana license as a Registered Nurse is required. Must receive CPR training in accordance with American Heart Association Standards resulting in receipt of course completion card upon hire and maintain current thereafter. School of Nursing graduate is required, Bachelor of Nursing degree is encouraged.
