Office Assistant 3 – Washington State University – Pullman, WA

Under general supervision, the Office Assistant 3 independently performs a variety of assignments, including providing support services to clients of the Washington Animal Disease Diagnostic Laboratory, laboratory personnel, veterinary students, residents and faculty. Duties include creating client invoices, uploading invoices, entering payments and performing various business office functions. Eligibility and understanding of BSL-2 laboratory safety guidelines and work environment is required.

Required Qualifications

High School graduation or equivalent and two years of clerical experience; OR equivalent education/experience.

Additional Requirements

  • Physical eligibility required for working in a BioSafety Lab-2 (BSL-2) environment. See the following link for more information. https://www.cdc.gov/training/QuickLearns/biosafety/
  • Able and willing to rotate weekend duty/holidays when needed.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Customer service experience in a medical and/or veterinary office setting.
  • Experience using VADDS or a similar medical database and software.
  • Experience with accounting systems and databases.
  • Experience with cash handling.
  • Experience with Point of Sale (POS) systems.
