Position Overview: We are currently searching for a hands-on, experienced Industrial Maintenance Specialist ready to advance their maintenance career with the latest aluminum extrusion processes! You will be responsible for continuous monitoring of all equipment and systems for proper operation, troubleshooting and identifying equipment issues at our Sherman, Texas plant. You will use your mechanical skills to install machinery and parts, interpret blueprints/schematics, and use various tools to maintain machinery, equipment and systems. We are a 24/7 operation. This position will include some weekends and holidays. Advancement opportunities may also be available for those who have the desire for professional growth. Essential Functions and Responsibilities: Perform predictive, preventive and corrective maintenance. Utilize computer programs for documentation of maintenance/safety activities (time entry, notifications and work orders, corrective actions/comments). Monitor and inspect equipment and systems for defects. Possess proficient skills utilizing hand, power, and precision tools. Perform all facets of the repair/maintenance process at heights or adverse conditions safely. Keep equipment, work area and tools clean, orderly and in good working condition. Attend extensive cross-training and classroom training regarding applicable equipment.
Experience and Skill Requirements: Possess specific fundamental knowledge of bearings, power transmission equipment, hydraulics/pneumatics, electrical, combustion, lubrication, fluid pumping systems, heat transfer, welding principles, rigging, overhead cranes and mobile equipment operation. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Able to work independently. Able to work any shift, 12/8-hour, day or night. Some weekends and holidays are required. Educational Requirements: High School Diploma or GED required. College or technical trade degree preferred. 5 years Industrial Maintenance experience required.
