Human Resources & Recruiting Coordinator – Monster Tower – Knoxville, TN

Overview

Marine Accessories Corporation (MAC) is looking to hire an HR & Recruiting Coordinator with outstanding written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills. The HR Coordinator will be a conceptual thinker with fantastic organizational and time management skills, excellent administrative skills with the ability to multitask and adapt in a fast-paced environment.

About Mac: Marine Accessories Corporation, a division of Patrick Industries, is the parent company of several industry-leading brands in the recreational boating industry – supporting multiple omni-channel global businesses and has been rapidly expanding over the past several years.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Works directly with and reports to the HR Director regarding all HR responsibilities.
  • Handles full-cycle recruiting for all MAC business units.
  • Works with staffing agencies as needed and manages temp workforce.
  • Assist departments with personnel related inquiries, advise and assist on current departmental HR procedures related to employee records, coordinate activities and acts as liaison between departments and general staff.
  • Assists with onboarding of new hires.
  • Maintains labor tracking files.
  • Assists with Benefit Administration; including Health, Dental, Vision, Aflac, and Reliance.
  • Maintain/update accurate employee records and files.
  • Prepare HR reports as needed.
  • Perform a variety of responsible office support work such as composing confidential correspondence and resolutions; preparation of spreadsheets and data entry.
  • Assist with payroll as needed.
  • Assist with Workman’s Compensation tracking/filing as needed.
  • Interprets applies and explains Company policies, and state and federal laws and regulations;
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • 2 years of experience as an HR Coordinator and recruiting experience (essential).
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related (preferred).
  • Exposure to Labor Law and employment equity regulations.
  • Effective HR administration and people skills.
  • Effective teamwork and interpersonal skills.
  • Full understanding of HR functions and best practices.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Works well under pressure and meets tight deadlines.
  • Highly computer literate with capability in email, MS Office and related business and communication tools.
  • Fantastic organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong decision-making and problem solving skills.
  • Meticulous attention to detail.
