The weekend REI Registered Nurse is based in our Basking Ridge, NJ office. This position is Part time, every other Saturday and Sunday.
Responsibilities include:
Contribute to physicians’ effectiveness by identifying patient care issues; provide information and commentary pertinent to patient care plan; recommend possible options and courses of action as appropriate; implement physician directives
Coordinate care for assigned patients following the required RMA protocols and procedures, including the appropriate workflow chart processes and performance benchmarks
Document patient care services in EMR system
Establish a compassionate environment by providing emotional and psychological support to patients; comfort patients by anticipating their anxieties and answering questions and concerns
Resolve patient problems and concerns by utilizing multidisciplinary team strategies
Patient education in regards to treatment plan and medications through e-learning and other patient education available
Follow up with patients regarding laboratory values and semen analysis results
Assist physician with in-office procedures as needed
Maintain a cooperative and productive working relationship intra-departmentally as well as inter-departmentally
Requirements:
BSN Degree required; active RN license without limitations required
Strong prior experience in women’s healthcare nursing experience
High energy, excellent interpersonal and multi-tasking skills, and demonstrated self-directed work ethic are required.
Excellent listening/counseling/interpersonal, and communications skills required to manage sensitive patient situation properly
Resourceful and well organized; committed to detail and follow-up
Ability to work independently, demonstrate good judgment and remain composed under stress
Must be proficient in Microsoft Office; prior EMR experience preferred
